March 2008
Our Destination is once again is to Texas. Dad still wants a Blackbuck. As do all of us other hunters. This time we were scheduled to be at the Bar E Ranch in Hondo Texas (south of San Antonio). Kalab found this ranch. It was well known and popular. So we were sure to kill something this time.
When we got to the ranch we given the day to practice shooting. I think all of us had sight problems. But we got together and was shooting good. That evening we took a drive around the ranch to get a feel of what the blinds would be like and to look at the animals. We didn't have to go far because these animals like the front lawn of the lodge to camp out. But we were assured there was more than them to hunt.
Day 1 at BAR-E:
*Everyone see lots of Fallow deer.

Day 2 at Bar-E:
* Here comes the rain!!
Day 3 at Bar-E:
* The Tribe "spot and stock" goats. Lots of them!!
* Some of the hunters and observors get a view of "Wally" the Water Buffalo
Day 4 at Bar-E:

*More Rain!!!
*Kalab shoots a Japenese Sika at dark.
Day 5 at Bar-E:
*Lots of Rain in the morning!
*12 o'clock(noon)--- The Tribe has to catch a flight :(
All of us agree there was a lot of animals at Bar-E but the rain messed with their sense so if they did come into the blind they were so jumpy we never could get a shot. But Kalab went home with an amazing Sika!!
