Sam and His Wheels

After a few years of time off; Sam is back on his bike. He and Uncle Aaron along with Aaron's son Tyler went to Lehi UT for a big circuit Bike Race.

It was defiantly a windy day and Sam's family was there to cheer him on!! Word has it Kaydon (Sam's oldest will be participating in the next race)

Sam was able to finish his race in 8th place which is awesome from having soooo much time off.

Congrats Sam...Keep up the Good Work!!

On the Road AGain!

The Mullins Tribe is on to their next BIG adventure.

They are headed to Alberta Canada to hunt Black Bears. (YES WITH A BOW)

They are leaving Friday the 20th and will be DRIVING all together in one vehicle. A little over 10 hours to Canada and then to the Northern tip of Alberta after that. Where they will be staying 5 days. Each hunter is allowed to shoot 2 bears. So it should be an exciting hunt and hopefully LOTS of pictures to come!!

Green River Family Presents: Bushmen Safaris

February 2010

Since The Tribe had such a wonderful time in South Africa with Bushmen Safaris. Shannon Van Zyl asked if they could come to Green River and talked to our community about their hunting safaris.

So the tribe spent three days with Shannon and his wife Mette. Showing them the wonders of Green River. Ok so it was a small list of wonders! But none the less we had a good time with them. Sam's birthday was the same day so we got to hear Shannon sing "Happy Birthday" to him in Afrikaans. Thanks Shannon.

Bushmen Safaris will be in Green River THIS February. February 19th 2011. So if you are interested or just want to meet our wonderful friends from South Africa. Let me know and I can get you more information. Or go to there website: http://bushmensafaris.com/

DAD HAS TO GET A BLACKBUCK!!!!

December 2010
Merry Christmas Baby,
You are sure to treat me nice!
You gave me a trip to Texas,
Now I am living in Paradise!
Santa came down the chimney,
and gave me a bow!

It's Christmas day and The Tribe is on the road. To guess where....... TEXAS!! The moral of this trip is Dad has to spill blood in Texas!! We planned this trip over Christmas vacation because we all had the time off and well who doesn't want to go south for the winter??

We have a new little member of our Tribe this time too....Declan. ( Kris's oldest boy) He has to see Dad shoot a "deer".

The hunting ranch we went to was Double Arrow Archery. Where Curtis was our guide. Now one thing Double Arrow had was BIG animals!!!

Day 1 @ D.A.:
* (Not even 10 minutes into the hunt) Rebecca shoots Red Stag
Doe~~~ It's gotta be a record!!

* That evening Kris shoots Scimitar Oryx

Day 2 @ D.A.:
* 8:00 AM Kris takes Declan into the blind
* 9:00 AM Kris wants someone to come get Declan (3 year olds are just not quiet enough)

Day 3 @ D.A.:
* DAD SHOOTS A BLACK BUCK!!!!!!!! WA-HOO!!!! The Hunting God's have blessed us ;)

Day 4 @ D.A.:
* Kalab shoots a Fallow Deer

Day 5@ D.A.:
* The tribe spends the day packing and preparing meat for the long trip home, and watching "The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" ---19 times. Its true some people never grow up! ;)

Day 6@ D.A.:
* The tribe goes home!

So this trip turned out to be a success for ALL the hunters and I think mostly we were just proud Dad spilt some blood in Texas!!

Bears love honey
I'm a Pooh Bear!
Time for something sweet!
Yum-Yum-Yum

Hmmmm..... I feel like going to Texas again.

July 2010

I guess we were all a little depressed about our last Texas trip that we decided to "get back up and try again!" So our destination HA HA HA TeXaS.

The hunting Ranch was Bowhunter's Paradise. Jim our guide was wonderful. He kept us very full of food and stories ~~good hunting stories and medical stories too. (He used to be a Radiologist).

Day 1 @ BHP:
* Kalab shoots a Blackbuck

Day 2 @ BHP:
* We see lots of animals; they were just in velvet or not big enough
* Rebecca gets chased by a tarantula!!

Day 3 @ BHP:
* Here comes the rain :(
* Rebecca HATES Spiders!!!

Day 4 @ BHP:
* Kris shoots Spanish Goat
* Rebecca walks into BIG spider web in the trees.

Day 5 @ BHP:
* Kalab shoots Spanish Goat

So besides the spiders taking residence in the blinds. The trip was a lot of fun. Bowhunter's Paradise is defiantly a place to go, but for some reason we were not able to fill our tags :( Unless you count spiders and Grasshoppers on steroids.....then Rebecca has the record. Not to mention the dozen grasshoppers she saved by putting them in Jim's (the guides) back pack. When he wasn't looking of course ;)
